5 ways to serve Avocado to your Child

In life everything is  challenege, me writing today also is because of  challenge. The biggest challenge of being a mom is making our Child eat right. One of the foods that is healthy but rare to find & to make our child eat is Avacado.

Avocado is one of the best foods for weight gain in toddlers, we should always make it in the right way for them to relish it.

We assume toddlers being fussy, but 3 things matters to them when it comes to food 1. Taste 2. Presentation 3. Time & Mood.

5 ways that we can serve Avacado to toddlers is:

🥑 Avocado  Puree

We can mix Avacado with any other fruit like Banana or Apple and make it in the form of puree. Please find the link of the Banana Avocado Puree

Serving technique: In a glass bowl or a small mud bowl with a fancy spoon. Also try using wheat straw bowl.

Time: Breakfast or Evening Snack

🥑 Avocado Patties


1. 1/4th ripe Avocado
2. 1/4th cup Corn
3. 1 tsp lime juice
4. 2 tbsps Black beans (Soaked over night, washed & cooked)
5. Salt & Pepper to taste
6. Bread Crumps

Mix all the ingredients together and coarse blend it, form patties and shallow fry them or roast them on the tawa. Use Ghee as it’s for your little one.

Serving technique: You can create different shapes & serve to your toddler.

Time: Evening Snacks or Dinner.

🥑 Avocado Milkshake

1. 1 ripe Avocado
2. 3/4th glass milk
3. 1tsp Honey/ Sugar

Mix all the ingredients and blend together.

Serving Technique: let them pour their own honey (that give physical contact of the baby with the food)
Serve it in a nice glass with honey on top.

🥑 Avocado Toast

1. 1 bread slice (can be cut into different shapes)
2. Mashed Avacado, add a little salt, pepper, Oregano or Sandwich masala.
3. Toast it on the tawa with butter and serve.

Serving Technique: Cut the bread to different shapes.

Time: Morning Breakfast or Dinner.

🥑 Avocado Hummus
If your child loves eating salad with dips then this is a great option,


1. 1 cup chick pea (Soaked, Rinsed & Boiled)
2. 1 Ripe Avacado
3. 1/2 tbsp olive oil
4. 2-3 cloves of garlic
5. Salt, Cumin, Pepper as required

Mix all the ingredients together & blend it into a smooth paste.

Serving Technique: The above can be served with Veggies like Zucchini, Carrot, Potato, Broccoli etc. Or can be used as a spread as well.

Time: Mid Morning or Evening Snacks.
