Beetroot Idly

This is an easy and simple 5 minute recipe, cooking time would take around 10-15 minutes.


1. 1cup Idly batter

2. 1 beetroot (Grated)

3. 1 pinch of salt

4. 1 pinch of pepper

5. 1 pinch of black salt


Mix all the ingredients together, adjust the consistency as required.

Take an idly cooker, Grease the plate with ghee and add the mixture.

Let it steam for 10-15 minutes, use a fork to check if it’s cooked or not.

Tadaaaa, your beetroot Idly is ready.

Serve hot, apply a little ghee over it.

Instead of beetroot, Palak, Carrot, & also Ragi Powder can be added to bring in variations in the colors as Children get attracted towards colorful things.
